Support Retainers
How Support is Structured
Project management and operational support - scaled by involvement, not scope.
Every Cedar & Sage engagement draws from the same core service areas: bidding and estimating support, coordination, communication, workflow organization, and operational follow-through. What changes from one level to the next is how deeply we’re involved week to week, based on workload, pace, and priorities.
Support is designed to meet you where you are — whether you need steady involvement to stabilize operations or deeper partnership to manage growing workloads and shifting demands.
Choosing the Right Level of Support
The right level of support depends on your workload and pace — not a checklist of services. Things like the number of active jobs, how many moving pieces are in play, and how much coordination or follow-through you want handled all factor into the decision.
If you’re unsure where you fit, that’s normal. We’ll talk through your workload and help determine the level of support that makes the most sense.
Foundations Retainer
Get organized. Get confident. Get moving.
The Foundations Package offers light, consistent support across every core service area — bidding and estimating support, communication, project coordination, operational cleanup, and the back-burner items that keep piling up. The focus is on establishing reliable structure, bringing clarity to daily workflow, and creating a steadier way of operating without overwhelming the business or changing its natural pace.
This level of support sets the groundwork for smoother projects, steadier communication, and a more manageable workload.
Best Fit: If your business needs clearer structure, reduced friction, and a manageable layer of weekly involvement to steady day-to-day operations without changing your natural pace.
Investment: ~$250 – $800 per week
(approximately 3–8 hours of weekly involvement)
Growth Retainer
Build momentum with steady operational support.
The Growth Retainer increases involvement across core service areas to support businesses taking on more work and feeling the pressure of overlapping priorities. This level provides a steadier rhythm of coordination, clearer internal communication, stronger follow-through around bids and project activity, and ongoing operational refinement.
As involvement deepens, systems become more reliable, projects maintain better continuity, and fewer details slip between handoffs. Your business gains the structure and consistency needed to support a busier schedule with confidence and control.
Best Fit: If your workload is increasing, projects overlap more frequently, and consistent coordination and follow-through are becoming critical to keeping work moving smoothly.
Investment: ~$850 – $1,750 per week
(approximately 9–15 hours of weekly involvement)
Leadership Retainer
Your fractional operations partner — full-cycle and dialed-in.
The Leadership Retainer delivers the highest level of partnership and the deepest involvement across the entire workflow. This engagement supports full-cycle project coordination, stronger cross-team alignment, advanced operational development, and more consistent oversight of both front-end and day-to-day activity.
At this level, Cedar & Sage functions as an embedded operational partner — providing steady oversight, continuity, and hands-on support to keep work aligned and operations moving forward with confidence.
Best Fit: If your business requires deeper operational involvement, support across multiple active projects, and consistent oversight to strengthen alignment, stability, and momentum.
Investment: ~$1,750 – $3,200 per week
(approximately 16–25 hours of weekly involvement)
On-Demand Assistance
Short-term support for specific needs or projects.
Short-term support for specific needs during busy periods or transitions. Engagement addresses targeted bidding work, select project coordination items, administrative cleanup, or completion of deferred tasks. Designed for concentrated help during high-volume periods rather than ongoing partnership and offered as availability allows.
Rate: $95 – $125 per hour
(quoted per task or short-term project)
How Pricing Is Set
Weekly pricing reflects the level of operational involvement needed to support your workload, project volume, and pace. Every business carries a different load, so final scope and fit are confirmed through a brief conversation to ensure the level of support provides meaningful relief without unnecessary complexity.
